Weird girl literature enthusiasts, this one’s for you.
Welcome to the g&d book club! Every month, we’re picking a book, reading along together, and getting into the good stuff (the characters we love, the decisions we question, the moments that make us put the book down and stare at the wall for a minute…you know the ones).
October’s pick? Sky Daddy by Kate Folk.
why we chose it
There’s been a lot of hype around this one, so NATURALLY (being an office full of girlies who love weird girl lit), we had to find out what all the fuss was about.
Meet Linda. She hates her job, lives in a windowless garage, and is hopelessly in love with… aeroplanes. Yes, really.
Convinced she’s destined for a very unconventional happily ever after, Linda turns to manifestation to make her dreams come true. And as things start getting a little out of hand, she’s forced to confront what she really wants from life.
It’s weird, it’s intriguing, and we’re expecting some very interesting conversations. In other words, perfect for book club.
