We all have a type. Most of us have a style we come back to again and again, the pieces we feel best in, the references we’re always drawn to, and the outfits that just feel like us.
From Clean Girl to Y2K, we’ve narrowed it down to seven style personalities. The question is: which one are you?
Scroll through to find your type.
CLEAN GIRL
You know how to get your hair into the perfect slick-back bun, and love a monochromatic look. Your nails are always perfect, and you never leave the house without your signature gold jewellery. There’s a claw clip in your bag right now, and somehow your white sneakers are actually white.
BADDIE
It’s less about what you wear and more about how you wear it. Your lip liner is immaculate, your sunnies are always on hand, and leopard print is basically a neutral for you. You were able to nail the mob wife aesthetic without even trying. Trends might come and go, but somehow you make everything look like it was made for you.
Y2K
Butterfly clips, glitter eyes, baby tees, tiny bags, and anything that looks like it could have appeared in a 2002 issue of Dolly. You think low-rise jeans deserve another chance and the only thing on your wishlist right now is a modern version of the Motorola Razr.
SPORTY
Cute baseball caps, lived in sneakers, oversized tees, vintage trackies, jerseys, and a suspicious number of really good jackets. You’re more likely to borrow something from the menswear section than wear a tiny matching activewear set. Your outfits always look better the less you appear to have thought about them.
CLASSIC
Tailored, timeless, polished. You stick to neutral colours, love a crisp white shirt and own the perfect trench coat. Breakfast at Tiffany’s is your favourite movie, and you’d rather buy one really good handbag than a new one every other month.
90s
Denim jackets, grunge band tees, little dresses with big boots. Your style icon is Neve Campbell, and you firmly believe every outfit can be improved by looking slightly like you might be an extra in a 1997 teen movie. You’ve never met a vintage leather jacket you didn’t immediately want.
ALTERNATIVE
Your wardrobe is filled with as much leather as it is lace. You prefer silver over gold, and you own more than one belt with a chain on it. After years of practise, you have really nailed how to do the perfect winged eyeliner. You have a boot collection all your friends are envious of. You have owned at least one pair of Vans.
